The complexities of time calculations are now a thing of the past. You can manage your own timezone directly from your profile.

No more late-night or early-morning scheduling to align with different time zones. Whether you're managing backups or sending reports, our system will adjust according to your set timezone, taking all the guesswork out of the equation. 

To activate this feature, simply head over to your WP Umbrella profile and update your timezone. 

PS: Important note for legacy users: To apply this new timezone to your existing templates, you'll need to navigate to the template > Scheduling and re-save your settings. Doing so will align your newly defined timezone with your pre-existing templates.

We're excited to announce a new feature: WP Umbrella is now compatible with .htaccess protected websites! 

This feature allows users to easily manage and update sites that are protected by a .htaccess file. This means that you will be able to make changes to these types of sites without having to manually update the .htaccess file each time and thus manage your pre-productions & staggings easily.

You can define the user and password of your .htaccess protected website at the bottom of the settings tab of every project.

We have some great news to share - we have updated the maintenance report feature to help you proving the value of your work to your clients.

More Customization In The Report

You can now fully customize headings, subheadings, time format, and date format.

More Customization In The Emails & Scheduling

In addition, you can now send the report to multiple recipient (max 3) and define a sending name. Speaking of the emails, we have added a WYSIWYG editor so your automatic messages to your clients can now look more attractive.

We have also decided to introduce the possibility to automatically send the report on a weekly basis.

We have Fully Revamped The Integration of Google Analytics Data

Although nobody ever complained about it, we weren't entirely satisfied of the way Google Analytics Data was displayed in the report. So we decided to do better. We added more data and changed the look of this section.

We also did our best to make sure that the data coming from Google Analytics is understandable for your clients.

Template System Next In Lane

We are now working on a proper system of template that will allow you to create templates that you can assign on all your websites in a few clicks. It will also be possible to configure all your missing integrations from a single place.

We are aware that the current process is time-consuming. Hopefully, this new system of template should be available in 4 weeks.

We have some great news to share with you today - WP Umbrella is now compatible with WP Engine! We know that some of you have been having connection issues, and we're happy to report that those are now a thing of the past. 

You can now use WP Umbrella flawlessly with WP Engine, and enjoy all the benefits that come with it. 

None of this would be possible without your help and the help of the WP Engine team. We are working on something similar with Kinsta. 

Shall you experience any recurrent backup/update issues, please feel free to reach out at support@wp-umbrella.com. We recently realized that theses issues are mostly coming from hosting firewall rules, and with your help, we will make WP Umbrella compatible with your hosting provider.

We've just rolled out a new feature that we think you're going to love - the ability to restore your website in 1-click. 

That's right, you can now restore your website to its original state with just a single click.

We know that accidents happen and sometimes things can go wrong. Now, if something does happen to one of your websites, you can easily and quickly restore it! 🙃

No more fiddling around with complex restore procedures! 

To enjoy this feature you need to update WP Umbrella to its last version (2.3.0) and have a backup made with version 2.3.0.

Hello everyone! 

We have been working hard on the 1-click restoration for the last 4 weeks and everything is almost ready. We will open the beta testing of this feature soon.

To prepare for the 1-click restoration we have had to improve (again) the backup process. In a nutshell, we totally tweaked the way we backup databases and we are now able to manage the backup of crazy heavy databases, regardless of the server configuration. We also fix a couple of other things to make the process more efficient for everybody.

This update will not give you access to any new features, but it's important that you update WP Umbrella to 2.2.1 so we can ensure a smooth transition toward the 1-click restoration for everybody.

You can update WP Umbrella on all your websites in just one click from the Bulk Actions tab.
