Enhanced Update Tracking, FTP Support, and Client Role Access
Greetings, WP Umbrella Community!
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with you! While we're putting the finishing touches on our safe update feature, we've managed to rolled out a few other enhancements that will make your experience with WP Umbrella even better:
1. Comprehensive Update Tracking
We’re now tracking updates made outside of WP Umbrella and including them directly in your reports.
Now, any update to your website—whether through the WordPress backend or WP Umbrella—will be automatically included in the report, giving your clients a complete overview of their site’s activity.
This feature makes it easier to showcase all the maintenance tasks you’re performing on your clients' websites, saving you valuable time when it comes to reporting!
2. Expanded FTP Compatibility for Restorations
In response to your requests, we’ve expanded our restoration capabilities by adding FTP support. While we’ve always supported SFTP/FTPS, this update ensures that you’re covered even if your hosting provider only supports FTP.
Adding your FTP, SFTP, or FTPS credentials to WP Umbrella will improve the reliability and speed of both the restoration process and our safe update feature.
3. Client Role for Team Management
We’re making collaboration easier with the new client role feature. Now, you can invite your clients to WP Umbrella, giving them access to their backups and specific site data—without exposing the rest of your account.
It’s a secure and professional way to keep your clients informed and involved, about the WordPress maintenance of their site.
And that's it! As always, we appreciate your support and feedback!
